Concept
Set within a rural landscape, the home composes itself between shelter and outlook.

A timber plinth grounds the form into the hillside; a metal volume extends above. Two masses, distinct in material and weight — one rooted, one reaching. Vertical battens filter light across the upper volume, diffusing its edge between solid and open.

The architecture draws inward. Timber, polished plaster, and muted natural tones absorb the light. Built-in seating, considered thresholds, and generous openings allow the rooms to breathe without announcement.

Grounded in its landscape. Precise in its detail.
Light moves through the interior slowly. Timber linings frame the outlook and absorb the changing quality of the day. Morning stillness to afternoon warmth. Imperfect surfaces hold shadow in texture, giving each room a depth that shifts with the hour. The finishes do not announce themselves. They absorb. Together they draw the interior into the site.
