STATUS
Concept
A measured form drawn along the contour. Stone and weathering steel compose the mass - the home settles onto the slope, low against the alpine horizon, held beneath shifting cloud and snow.

Spaces are carved from the mass in sequence. The composition is weighted and deliberate, shaped as much by what surrounds it as by what it contains.

Stillness, material depth, and the slow endurance of the mountains do the rest.
Corten and stone bind the dwelling to the ridge, weathering with the alpine climate and grounding it in place. At key moments the materiality extends beyond enclosure. Stone planes slip from exterior to interior; corten wraps and frames the view. Inside and outside soften into each other, the house settling into a continuity with the landscape around it. What remains is permanence - measured, unhurried, and entirely of its place.
